Since 2000, The MicroInsurance Centre, LLC has been working with insurers and delivery channels to develop partnerships that result in low-income people around the world gaining access to quality microinsurance products.
We focus on three areas of intervention in our consulting:
- Product development - we work with organizations around the globe to work through the total product development process or in some cases specific parts of the process. Such microinsurance program assessment can be an important tool for product and process improvements that benefit all parties.
- Microinsurance research - we have produced a number of case studies on microinsurance programs and conducted national pre-feasability studies, using the lessons learned in research to aid the case study targets and others.
- Advocacy - we conduct trainings, speak in international and national forums, and actively participate and often lead various working groups on key topics in microinsurance.
